Job Description

Under the supervision of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team Program Manager, the Crisis Case manager is a member of the Guadalupe Hub Crisis Team. This position provides crisis intervention and follow up services, relapse and prevention, screening and referrals to community resources and providers. To those residing at the Diversion Center, the Crisis Case manager assists in providing case management, individual skills training and/or psychosocial interventions in addition to the completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans and discharge planning in an environment that is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for short-term stabilization of behavioral health symptoms. This position partners successfully with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis and find placement as needed. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of working with individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis within the community, the walk-in clinic, and the voluntary respite unit and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. The role uses skills and experience in working with integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position includes a flexible workday and is the best fit for a person able to work both independently and collaboratively. This position supports the Diversion Center, Crisis Respite Unit, State Hospital Step Down, and Youth Therapeutic Respite as needed.

Multiple schedules available- including evening/weekend/overnight.

This position is required to rotate into crisis on call/$30 per day.

Salary: $24.33 – $33.48/hr

Applicable Differentials:

2 years previous crisis experience:  $2.00/hour
4 years previous crisis experience:  $1.50/hour
1 year with BTCS: $2.00/hour
3 years with BTCS: $1.00/hour
Advanced Licensure: $1.00/hour
Bilingual: $.75/hour
Master’s Degree in Human Services: $1.00/hour
Evening Shift: $2.00/hour
Night Shift: $4.00/hour
Weekend Shift: $4.00/hour
Weekend Night Shift: $6.00/hour

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

*If degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years of case management experience, Master’s degree; pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, social work, or a related field. Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred.
