Job Description

Under the direction of Chief Crisis Programs Officer, this position leads and oversees the planning, development and operations of Bluebonnet Trails Community Services’ (BTCS) residential programs, including the Youth Therapeutic Respite Program (North and South), and Youth Crisis Residential/Step Down Unit.

This position will lead the design and planning of all facilities in meeting the expected program needs; through leading the team of professionals, ensures units meet BTCS’ level of excellence including applicable standards, administrative rules, contract requirements, certification standards and billing guidelines; monitors reports, implements plans of improvement, and informs and updates policy and procedure, supports the capturing of outcomes data; through proactive leadership, assures effective management of program operations, client care and safety and a harmonious milieu; development and oversight of an operations budget for each facility and implements strategies to increase productivity, revenue and reduce expenses in order to achieve balanced budgets; assists in the development of an effective sustainability plan; oversees all associated contracts and subcontracts; develops and oversees a 24/7 safe, therapeutic, person-centered and trauma- informed treatment program for all persons served; assures operations support the health, safety and wellbeing of all residents, staff and visitors; assures timely access to admission for all eligible referrals; ensures responsiveness to inquiries, comments, complaints, questions and requests for information; and coordinates with other programs, providers and stakeholders to ensure seamless continuity of care.

The Youth Residential Services Director effectively works independently and on a team; manages the needs and support of the person, families and community.

This position fosters good working relationships with schools, law enforcement, judges, Child Protective Services, advocates and other community partners.

Salary: $52.00 – $55.75/hr

Applicable Differentials:

$1.00/hr- 2+ years prior community center experience in a similar role

$1.00/hr- 4+ years prior community center experience in a similar role

$1.00/hr- 2 year tenure

$.75- Bilingual/ASL

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications: Masters Degree in Human Services or Leadership/Management; at least three years of behavioral health youth residential operations experience or three years of leadership experience in youth-specific industry.

Ability to work autonomously as a member of a team as well as working independently.

Must have valid Texas driver's license

Preferred Qualifications: Licensed or pursuing licensure as an LCSW or LPC; at least two years’ experience in leadership of youth and adult residential operations; Bilingual in Spanish or ASL.
