Job Description

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) is seeking an experienced Director of Specialty Programs to lead the specialized programs offered at BTCS. The Director of Specialty Programs will be responsible for the overall clinical, operational, and administrative oversight of Programs such as Multisystemic Therapy, YES Waiver, First Episode Psychosis, and other specialized programs at BTCS. This leadership role ensures the delivery of effective, trauma-informed, and culturally responsible services that meet contract standards, clinical best practices, and the unique needs of youth and adults experiencing significant behavioral or mental health challenges.

The Director of Specialty Programs has demonstrated leadership skills, experience with grant-funded programs, and experience supervising teams across multiple service areas. This leader will have demonstrated experience in successfully managing programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision to program supervisors to ensure quality clinical care, effective service delivery and program fidelity adherence.
  • Provide strategic direction for program supervisors.
  • Ensure all programs meet fidelity standards, contract requirements, and agency policies.
  • Implement program improvements based on data, feedback, satisfaction surveys, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, clinical excellence, and team development.
  • Assist with program budgeting, financial tracking, and contract management to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Represent BTCS at community meetings.
  • Promote strong cross-functional collaboration with other programs and departments.
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes, fidelity measures, and compliance metrics.

 

Location: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee or Williamson County. Remote work with approval.

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in direct care of persons with a serious mental illness, developmental disability, at-risk youth, and/or substance use disorder.
Demonstrated experience successfully managing grant projects, deliverables, and new programs.
A minimum of 2+ years of supervisory and/or program management experience with experience supervising.
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of supervisory and/or program management experience.
Demonstrated experience in successful program change management, process design, and implementation.
Experience in program development and implementation, and management.
Experience supervising program budget, compliance, and fidelity.
