| Job Description | This professional position provides exceptional customer service in support of focused revenue cycle operations. As a part of the Business Operations team, staff will serve as a centralized Financial specialists to provide critical operational activity including financial assessments, patient collections, and reimbursement processing to support BTCS revenue cycle process. These important supports include but are not limited to: (1) monitoring late and expired financials (2) conducting financial reviews to include verification of insurance coverage and benefits; (3) counseling persons and families on financial responsibilities and gathering supporting documents. This role must be able to support our Customer Service Representatives with the following support to include but not limited to: (1) support updating the electronic health record with clear and concise documentation of efforts and (2) scheduling FA appointments; This role might support multiple clinics based on need requested by your supervisor. Financial Specialist also identifies and schedules individuals with Benefits Specialist. The Financial Specialist also works with a team of business support staff to ensure an effective and efficient work environment. Hourly Salary Range: $17.30 – $22.05 Differential Detail:

| Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Ability to organize workspace and activities using initiative. Follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to learn how to input information into an electronic health record. Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work with clients, families and staff utilizing tact and diplomacy. Must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the adult, child/youth, crisis, intake and respite units and contractors. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred AND required education, experience, job knowledge, skills and abilities helpful in the performance of this position, as indicated below: Some college (1-2 years) or associate’s degree. Experience of having financial discussions with clients regarding treatment costs and insurance verifications. Bilingual. |
