Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that enable actionable insights across the organization. This role focuses on transforming raw data into meaningful information through dashboards, reports, and analytics tools. The BI Developer collaborates with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements, ensure data accuracy, and deliver solutions that support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing data models, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring the scalability and performance of BI platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills in SQL, DAX, data visualization tools (such as Power BI or SSRS), and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Location: Remote – Must live in the Bluebonnet Trails Catchment Area (Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee or Williamson Counties)

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data warehouse development.
Proven experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
Experience with data warehouse design (star schema, snowflake schema).

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with ETL tools or scripting (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Python).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Power BI Service for deployment and governance.
Understanding data modeling best practices and performance optimization.
Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Salary Amount$75,000.00 to $85,000.00/year
