Job Description

This Registered Nurse performs professional nursing duties as assigned to a 10-bed Crisis Respite Unit. This individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of working with clients with an IDD diagnosis, behavioral health diagnosis, and/or Substance Use Disorder diagnosis. Responsibilities include medication monitoring, education, and administration, providing RN delegation, staff training, individual and group services, client’s assessments and treatment planning. Professional communication with all medical treatment providers on behalf of each client is mandatory. The Registered Nurse will provide education to staff and primary care givers regarding behavioral health, developmental disability, and health care and/or health related special needs. This RN must have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Tasks and documentation of services are provided in accordance with accepted legal and ethical nursing standards.

This position requires a flexible workday and to be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This RN will be cross-trained to assist with tasks as needed for other regional HUB clinics and crisis programs in the event of vacancies of Nursing staff or when additional support/coverage is needed. The Registered Nurse is directed and supervised by the Director of Residential Nursing for clinical matters such as, but not limited to medications, pharmacy, injections and clinical assessments. The Registered Nurse is directed and supervised by the CRU Program Manager for administrative matters such as, but not limited to medications, requesting time off, and unit flow. Personnel concerns will be addressed in coordination by both the Director of Residential Nursing and the CRU Program Manager.

Salary: $43.39 – $56.64/hr

.75/hour, Bilingual

Shift Differentials:

· Evening shift differential $2.00/hr

· Overnight shift differential $4.00/hr

· Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr

· Overnight weekend shift differential $6.00/hr
