Children Crisis RespiteDescription of Service
Services are provided within a provider’s home to youth below the age of 18 who are experiencing a crisis, and the child or caregivers are in need of temporarily relief from their care. The intent of the service is to encourage stabilization in the natural living environment, and prevent admission to out-of-home institutions, such as hospitals, residential treatment centers, and juvenile detention. These youths are diagnosed with a behavioral health and/or intellectual developmental disability or related condition.
Rate of Payment
$100 per day regardless of length of stayAreas to be Served
Bastrop County, Burnet County, Caldwell County, Fayette County, Lee County, Williamson CountyEligibility
At least 21 years of age.All home occupants are able to pass all criminal background checks and screenings.
Valid Texas Driver’s License or ID.
Previous experience working with individuals diagnosed with a behavioral health or intellectual developmental disability.
Able to complete all required trainings to contract with the Children’s Crisis Respite program.
Able to satisfy home inspection and fire inspection requirements.
Home liability insurance.
