Licensed Behavior Analyst, BCBA

Contract Position

Licensed Behavior Analyst, BCBA

Description of Service

The Licensed Behavior Analyst will provide Behavior Support services to individuals of all ages who have a diagnosis of IDD and/or Autism. The contractor will determine the areas or counties of service. The individuals served by the position will generally have co-occurring behavioral health conditions or a chronic behavioral condition.  Availability to respond within 1-2 weeks of requests for service is critical as many of these individuals are at risk of hospitalization, incarceration, or even loss of their present living situation if prompt attention is not given to their needs. Within 30 days of the first meeting, a Functional Behavior Assessment must be complete, along with a Behavior Support Plan identifying strategies to be utilized in teaching replacement behaviors. Generally, these services are provided in the individual’s home or community. However, when this arrangement is determined to be unsafe or unavailable, clinic space can be reserved for therapy. It is expected that parents or caregivers are trained to implement the strategies in the Behavior Support Plan.
