(3005) Registered Nurse, Diversion Center 7PM – 7AM

This position performs professional nursing duties as the Charge Nurse assigned to a 23-48-hour behavioral health care unit. This Registered Nurse (RN) must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of working with individuals with psychiatric and mental health and or medical concerns.

Responsibilities include nursing triage and assessment upon admission, medication administration and monitoring, education regarding diagnosis, providing RN delegation and training to support staff within the center. The RN will assess and complete nursing care plans and will communicate findings with the treatment team.

This RN must have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Tasks and documentation of services are provided in accordance with accepted legal and ethical nursing standards.

This RN will work a 12-hour day shift with rotating weekends and the ability to create your own block schedule.

This RN will provide support to the other Residential Units as needed.

The RN will be directed/supervised by the Director of Nursing for clinical matters such as, but not limited to medications, pharmacy, injections, genetic testing, phlebotomy/laboratory matters and clinical assessments. The RN will be directed/supervised by the Center Director for administrative matters such as, but not limited to requesting time off, scheduling and office flow. Personnel concerns will be addressed in coordination by both the Director of Nursing & Center Director.

Salary: $45.39 – $56.64/hr

Applicable Differentials:

• Up to $4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS
• .75/hour – Bilingual
• Up to $2.00/hour – Previous Experience at a Community Center
• Up to $3.50/hour – Previous Crisis Experience
• $1.00/hour – PhD
• $1.00/hour – Psychiatric Certification
• $2.00/hour – Evening shift differential from 5 pm-7 pm
• $4.00/hour – Overnight shift differential after 7 pm
• $4.00/hour – Weekend shift differential
• $6.00/hour – Overnight weekend shift differential
