| Job Description | Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Nursing, the Regional Center Director, and the Nurse Manager this Registered Nurse (RN)provides support for psychiatric services in an outpatient clinic in Round Rock. The RN should possess a positive attitude, a caring spirit and be able to work within a multidisciplinary team. This position supports the prescribing Physicians and Nurse Practitioners and is responsible for obtaining vital signs, weight, height, rooming patients, recording information in the electronic medical record, and staging medication refills and consents and obtaining medication authorizations to ensure no lapse in prescription refills. This position will also provide education on nutrition, medications, diagnosis, and other health related topics. This nurse will be responsible for giving injections, performing venipuncture, administering urine drug screens. The position is responsible for adhering to agency policies and procedures. This position is based in Round Rock, however, will also be responsible for supporting the other outpatient clinic to cover vacancies for trainings, sick leave, or vacations as needed. This position is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5 PM. This position may delegate or supervise Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs). | Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing hold an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team. Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications, TEAMS, MS Word. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification, Primary Care, or CARN certification. Experience working with Individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and Med/Surg. Experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric inpatient unit and or outpatient clinic. |
