OSAR: Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral

OSAR will work with individuals, their families and support systems to make referrals and recommendations that best suit their needs.

OSAR Services

Screening & Assessments: Our dedicated licensed staff provides assessments and referrals to those who are actively seeking substance use services and/or support. The OSAR Team conducts verbal screenings to gather information pertaining to severity of use and how use has impacted day to day functioning or mental health, in order to provide appropriate referrals to recovery resources.

Interventions: Following the assessment and screening, individuals can expect short-term case management services in addition to the opportunity of up to 6 brief motivational interviewing sessions with their OSAR counselor.

Support: OSAR counselors are available for additional support and case management until the individual successfully enters into their referred treatment service. Our OSAR counselors can also remain as a point of contact for future recovery support needs. For uninsured or underinsured individuals, the OSAR team can determine if you are approved for full or partial financial assistance towards your referred treatment services.

Referrals: Once the needs of an individual have been identified for best outcomes of their recovery, the referred services may include intensive outpatient services, residential substance use services or additional community supports.

If you or a loved one is struggling with substance use, there is help available. Our outpatient substance use treatment program assists individuals with understanding the reasons why they turn to drugs or alcohol and teaches coping skills so that you or your family member are less likely to try to deal with emotions by drinking or using other substances.

Many times, chemical dependency is a symptom of deeper underlying issues masked by substances in order to deal with a mental health disorder. Our integrated approach combines an outstanding behavioral health team with chemical dependency specialist to provide individualized recovery services. We offer day and evening group sessions to promote recovery with the least disruption to family, school and work schedules.

Our group sessions allow individuals to enter the treatment cycle at any point in the 9-week cycle. Progress toward goal attainment is evaluated throughout the program to determine transition to the next level of care.
