| Job Description | Program Overview: The core components of a crisis continuum are somewhere to call, someone to respond, and a place to go. Bluebonnet Trails Adult Crisis Residential programs provide 24/7 access to immediate crisis assessment and intervention services in a facility-based setting. Our Vision is Healthy and Fulfilled Lives, and residential programs offers an interdisciplinary team of clinical, medical, and direct care staff to provide support to persons in crisis. Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve, and the Diversion Center provides critical access to care to stabilize a crisis while diverting individuals from jail, emergency rooms, and hospitalization. Under the clinical leadership of the Director of Residential Nursing and the administrative leadership of the Director of Crisis Services, this leader will assist with the clinical supervision, education, direction, and oversight to Registered Nurses (RNs) within the residential programs. Critical Impact: The residential facilities provide an option for expedited access to immediate behavioral health treatment, with a focus on pre-arrest jail diversion and recidivism reduction. The Residential Nurse Manager oversees how we deliver care to the people we serve, how we develop and support our talented team, and how we collaborate with our community partners. Additionally, the Residential Nurse Manager collaborates with the unit Program Managers on communication with our staff and contractors on strategy for maintaining essential operations, including during emergencies and disasters. | Credentials | Minimum Qualifications: Two years experience in residential or inpatient nursing. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or hold an unencumbered multi-state nursing license. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team. Demonstrated computer literacy with working knowledge of Windows/MS Office/TEAMS/Outlook 365 applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in behavioral healthcare setting. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish or ASL. One year of administrative nursing experience in Behavioral Health related field, and/or five cumulative years of nursing experience in multiple areas of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, Primary Care, Medical Surgical, Substance Use, Withdrawal Management and/or Crisis Services. |
