Bluebonnet Trails offers Forensic Services which provide many options to best suit the needs of individuals involved in the criminal justice system with a mental health diagnosis.
Jail Diversion
Our Jail Diversion Program provides mental health screenings and advocacy for individuals recently arrested and in jail who have mental health treatment needs.
Jail Diversion Locations
Available in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee, Gonzales, Guadalupe, and Williamson Counties.
Jail Diversion Services
Services: Bluebonnet Trails Jail Diversion Program staff work with local county jails to identify people with mental health treatment needs and divert them into behavioral healthcare services including psychiatric hospitalization and outpatient treatment. Jail Diversion has staff located inside Austin State Hospital and work closely with other state hospitals to expedite admission.
Justice-Involved Case Management (JI CM)
Bluebonnet Trails’ Justice Involved Case Management Program partners with mental health task force members, sheriff’s departments, probation departments, court officials and community members to work towards the reduction of individuals entering the criminal justice system or placement into a psychiatric hospital.

Available in Burnet and Williamson Counties.
JI CM Services
Services: Justice Involved Case Mangers (JI CMs) provide skills training and case management services focused on criminogenic risk factors and behavioral health treatment needs. JI CMs make referrals to community support services and substance use treatment services when appropriate.
Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI)
Our Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments, TCOOMMI Program, works closely with the criminal justice system to provide the highest level of forensic case management for individuals who are involved in the legal system.

Available in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee, Gonzales, Guadalupe, and Williamson Counties.
TCOOMMI Services
Services: Psychiatric Services, Benefits Coordination, Peer and Family Support, Medication Management, Counseling and Group Services, Substance Use Recovery Services, Case Management and Life Skills Training, Referrals to other low-cost community services, Supported Housing and Employment

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services as a recipient of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant dollars either directly from FTA or through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), will comply with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d), the U.S. Department of Transportation implementing regulations, FTA Circular 4702.lB, and TxDOT PTN requirements as specified in Master Grant Agreement, and State Management Plan.
