Job Description

Under the supervision of the Center Director or Crisis Supervisor, the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Case Worker is a member of the Bastrop County Crisis Team, providing services in-person and via tele video in Bastrop, Fayette, and Lee Counties.  The MCOT Case Worker will dispatch to various community locations (i.e., schools, emergency rooms, homes and BTCS clinics) to provide crisis intervention, screening, referral, relapse prevention and follow-up services. Follow-up services may include case management, individual and group skills training, Person-Centered Recovery Planning, supported housing/employment, discharge planning.

Additionally, the MCOT Case Worker will provide crisis triage and intervention services as needed.

This position collaboratively partners with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social service agencies to assist persons in crisis. The MCOT Case Worker must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of working with individuals experiencing a mental health, substance use, and/or developmental crisis, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with persons and families from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. The MCOT Case Worker must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.

This is a PRN position.

Location: Bastrop, TX

Hourly Salary Range: $32.23 – $39.48

Applicable Differentials:

  • .50/hour – LCDC licensure
  • $1.00/hour, previous experience
    $4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS
    Advanced Licensure: $1.00/hour
    Bilingual: $.75/hour
  •  $1.00/hour LPC-A/LCSW-A

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
Comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses.
Ability to work as a member of a team within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment is essential to this position.
Minimum of two years case management experience required.
Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
*If degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, social work, or a related field.
Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred.
Experience in providing concurrent documentation preferred.
Salary Amount$32.23 - $39.48/hr
