Job Description

The Accountant I supports the daily functions of the Accounting Department by performing routine accounting activities under the supervision of senior accounting personnel. This role ensures the accuracy of accounting records and supports timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Routine duties include preparing invoices, preparing general ledger entries, performing general ledger account reconciliations, and other duties as assigned. A positive attitude, flexibility when encountering uncertainty, problem-solving, and timely escalation are key skills for resolving internal and external customer inquiries. Continuous improvement is expected to develop general ledger research skills and intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills.

Location: Round Rock, TX

Hourly Salary Range: $21.46 – $24.46

Differential Detail:

  • Up to $1.00/hour – Previous experience in a similar role
  • Up to $1.00/hour – Career ladder specialty
  • Up to $1.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS

CredentialsMinimum Qualifications:
An associate’s or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of 18 credit hours in accounting or finance.
No previous work experience is required.
*If a degree is not in accounting or finance fields, a minimum of 18 college credits in accounting or finance fields are required.


Preferred Qualifications:
Degree with major in accounting or finance is preferred.
Previous internship or work experience in government accounting or healthcare is preferred.
Experience with general ledger entries is preferred.
Salary Amount$44,636.80 - $50,876.80/year
